Prioritize Life

In life I have prioritized the wrong things on several occassions. Sometimes it is hard to tell that you are prioritizing the wrong things. For instance - I have prioritized my education and carreer at the expense of my social life and my health. Other times it is more obvious, like the times I have prioritized indulging in one night of fun over my savings plan, my diet and exercise plan, and even family obligations.

So here's to my secret blog dedicated to getting my priorities in order. And I'm going to start with the one that has been most difficult for me - my health.

I love to eat and I don't particularly like running. That is a recipe for disaster. I know that if I really wanted a "secret blog" I could have joined a weightloss community online. But then no one I actually care about would ever even realize I have this goal or that I'm blogging about it. And, as I told my future sister-in-law, "shame motivates me". I'm hoping that making my progress, or lack thereof, public - REALLY public, will keep me accountable.

So here's to my first goal - lose weight, lose inches, gain strength, eat healthy, and avoid seeing another set of results indicating that I have high cholesterol (or BP, or sugar, or anything else that indicates I'm killing myself with food). I am prioritizing LIFE.
